The Return of Supergirl

The DC Comic universe has a long and convoluted history. A few major Crisis' have occurred which have really screwed with the timelines. Doing things like merging different versions of characters into one, or completely erasing others. After one such Crisis it was declared by DC that Superman was the ONLY survivor of Krypton. Not sure what that did to Kandor but it meant that there could no longer be a Supergirl. So she died. Then somebody introduced a new Supergirl character, but since she couldn't be from Krypton she couldn't be Superman's cousin, and she wasn't even an alien, so things got really weird (and don't even mention Power Girl's origin retcon mess). Eventually DC stopped taking stupid pills and thanks to Jeph Loeb we got the real Supergirl back. And I finally have the elusive DCSH variant of said character. Presenting Supergirl, Kara Zor-El (as opposed to Kara Zor-L, Power Girl, from Earth-2. See, DC's all screwed up.)

Superman and Family

I also finally got around to taking some pictures of my DCSH/DCUC collection. Of course, figures I took a picture of the Super-figures the night before Kara showed up. Steel, Superman Red (obviously), Superman, Superman Blue (again, obviously), and Supergirl, aka Linda Danvers. Just pretend Kara's in that picture too.

Batman's Family

As someone once pointed out in the comics, for a man who tries so hard to be a loner, he sure has collected a large family. Or something to that effect.

Batman and Robin III, Tim Drake

Batman, Robin III, and Nightwing Dick Grayson (formerly Robin I).

Now with Batgirl III, Cassandra Cain

And now the whole extended family (as far as we have, oh how we need Spoiler and Huntress).
Catwoman, Batwoman (from another line), and Azreal.

Villains

Misc villains, Sinestro and Black Manta, nemesis' to Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Aquaman.

Batman related villains.
Etrigan, the Demon, Deathstroke, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Catwoman, Clayface, Two-Face, Slade Wilson (Deathstroke). I meant to have Grundy be in this picture, but I had already shelved him and so it slipped my mind.

Superman villains.
Mongul, Lobo, Darkseid, Gorilla Grodd, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Solomon Grundy, Doomsday.

Shelf Display

And this is how they're currently displayed, villains on one shelf, heroes on another. I would have Catwoman with Batman if there was room, I'm going to have to move the Ed McGuinness Justice League figures here soon. And that's before I realized I had missed some heroes - Green Lantern, Firestorm and Supermans Red and Blue. I had been so proud they all fit on that shelf.

Villains

Heroes

As noted, this one has more than just DCSH/DCUC, it also has several DC Direct figures - the first two rows (and Batman Beyond) are from the Superman/Batman and JLA Classified lines, as depicted by Ed McGuinness, the others are just misc figures.

I agree with the messed up and confusing DC universe thing. I have a hard time keeping any character's background straight.
